feeling hopeful for changes to come in 2009....

Title: critter conscious

Gender: Female

Age: 49

Sun Sign: Gemini

Chinese Sign: Metal Rat

Location: San Francisco Bay Area United States

About Me:

My passions are animal consciousness, animal rights, dreams, and the psychological and physiological benefits of laughter. Philosophy (the history of ideas) turns me on, too.

I am a middle-aged, pro-choice, anti-death penalty, pro-animal, veg-head woman living and working in the San Francisco Bay Area.  My typological profile is: Enneagram-7 and ENTJ/P.
My career as an academic sign language interpreter has spanned 30 years–and still counting; I am still enjoying my chosen specialization of academic interpreting.  My master's is in consciousness studies, and I am especially interested in nonhuman consciousness/culture and interspecies relations.
My poly-specific home includes my loving human partner, our adoring labrador, our adorable feline goddess, and our three bouncing bunnies.  By those in my life, I am blessed to be domestic partner, human guardian, grandma, auntie, sister, daughter, and friend.
If granted three wishes, I'd wish that: 1) we treat our nonhuman brethren with respect and compassion; 2) we take better care of our mother earth; and, 3) we accept peace as a means AND an end.
My life's goal and heart's desire:  Since I can remember I have been deeply attracted to nonhuman beings, beholding them with a compassionate curiosity and respectful regard.  I want to further my understanding of them, to spread compassion for them, and to contribute to the betterment of our relations with them.

Keep ego small & laughter big!
